GOSHEN, CT – Rain essentially washed out the Litchfield Hills Historical Automobile Club’s annual car show and swap meet at the Goshen Fairgrounds today, but the indoor show within the show dubbed the “My Ride Reunion” managed to provide a dry spot for spectators to marvel at nearly two-dozen classic cars and trucks.
The My Ride Reunion collection was curated from the more than 300 vehicles featured over the past eight years in the Republican-American newspaper’s popular “My Ride” car feature that appears every Saturday. The display at the car show featured a broad cross-section models that were chosen for their rarity, their features, their styling, their backstories and other factors.

While the outside show failed to draw many entries because of the day-long rain, the inside exhibit enjoyed a steady stream of folks who chatted up the many owners who themselves didn’t let the soggy conditions prevent them from showing off their beauties. Only two car owners bailed out on the exhibit in the face of the forecast.
Here’s a gallery of the “My Ride Reunion.” If some of the cars look familiar, that’s because many of the have been featured on this website after first appearing in the Waterbury, CT newspaper:
