FARMINGTON, CT – The Farmington Polo Club provided the setting for today’s New England Concours d’Elegance, which featured exquisite models from the early days of motoring in Connecticut to current supercars. There were cars made in the state and the U.S. and imports from Europe, including some brands and models that may have been unfamiliar to many of the car enthusiasts in attendance.
Ever seen a British-made 1965 Alvis TE 21?
How about a German-made 1958 BMW 503?
There were loads of British sports cars.
—
And some from Italy, including a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia SS.
—
There was a modern-day Bugatti from France.
And older muscle and sports cars made by Detroit.

An indoor display of early brands from Connecticut revealed how the state produced what were the supercars of the early 1900s, such as a 1911 Corbin Model 40, a 1903 Pope-Hartford and 1907 Columbia.
Blessed by sunshine and a strong complement of cars, the New England Concours d’Elegance provided a sensational sendoff to the car show season. RIDE-CT will have stories and videos on the show in the coming days.
