Gallery: Lime Rock Park’s Sunday In The Park – August 31, 2025

LAKEVILLE, CT – Perfect weather attracted a huge crowd to Lime Rock Park’s Sunday in the Park car show, causing traffic on the roads leading to the racetrack to back up more than normal. RIDE-CT hears that some exasperated ticket-holders even gave up on gaining entry and departed the jammed scene.

Those who did get in were rewarded by the biggest variety of entries in memory. Some of the more noticeable models included a 1900 Knox three-wheeler, a just-restored 1937 LaSalle and a 1962 Alvis TD 21.

From imports and exotics to supercars and old race cars, the track was packed with memorable models. Some were long forgotten – remember the Opel GT or the Merkur? – while others were so unusual as to be unknown to many spectators.

Others stood out because of their iconic status in the automotive world. Here are some more examples of the incredible models on displays.
