Update: Valley Collector Car Club Finds New Home For Show

UPDATE (March 28, 2026): With the usual location for the Valley Collector Car Club’s annual car show at the Ski Sundown resort in New Hartford, CT unavailable this year, the club has now landed a new spot for the show at Goodwin University in East Hartford, CT. The show is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

NEW HARTFORD, CT – A new location hasn’t been booked yet, but the Valley Collector Car Club’s annual car show in September will move to a new spot in 2026. It’s not by choice, either. Having been successfully staged in past years in the parking lot at the Ski Sundown resort in New Hartford, it finds itself out of luck this year.

“They have a construction project that will be occupying the parking lot during September,” said club president Joe Latina in an email on Saturday.

A social media post last week revealed the situation with Ski Sundown and contained a plea from the club for suggestions for a possible new show site.

“Due to unexpected circumstances, we can no longer host at Ski Sundown – but we’re excited to turn this challenge into a new opportunity,” the post read. “Do you know a spot that can accommodate at least 250 cars and create the perfect atmosphere for car lovers? Your suggestion could help keep this amazing tradition going strong.”

The post generated numerous suggestions. Latina said the club now tentative site and a meeting is planned for Thursday to discuss security and logistics. RIDE-CT will follow up when a new location is secured.
