With the weekend forecast calling for showers on Saturday afternoon, rain all day on Sunday and showers on Monday morning, skittish car show organizers across the state were gauging today whether to stage as planned or postpone to a later date. Four shows out of the more than dozen scheduled for the Memorial Day Weekend decided Friday morning to delay.
Saturday’s Sport Hill Races – Hill Climb Demonstration & Antique Car Show in Easton, CT has been postponed to an as-yet undetermined future date. The above photo is from the 2025 event.
Saturday’s American Classic & Muscle Car Show, Family Festival and Stock the Pantry Event in Waterbury, CT has been postponed until June 13.
Saturday’s fifth annual Special Olympics Classic Car Show in Monroe, CT has been postponed for a week until May 30.
Sunday’s Z2 Motorsports Season Opener Car Show in New Britain, CT has been postponed for a week until May 31.
RIDE-CT is awaiting word from other shows, but has reconfirmed that Sunday’s 15th Royals’ Garage Car Show on the racetrack at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT is a “rain or shine” event. With Lime Rock Park not having a race on Memorial Day, it’s obvious to wonder why the show simply couldn’t have been pushed back a day as it’s a popular event. The show is guaranteed to be a washout on Sunday. Photo below is from the 2025 show.
One other show planned for Saturday, the weekly gathering at The Farmer’s Cow Café in Berlin, CT has also canceled due to the weather.
RIDE-CT is keeping tabs on the changing status of shows planned for this weekend. This story will be updated as the situation changes as will the 2026 Car Show Calendar page on this website.
