Car Show Season Ending With A Bang, March Farm Now Charging Spectators

Here it is the closing days of October and the car show season is still revving. At least through this coming weekend.

With 2026 serving up 400 car shows across the state (give or take), and many more cruises and cars & coffee events, it’s only appropriate that that the car show season go out with a bang.

At least two dozen shows are scheduled for this weekend (October. 24-25), according to RIDE-CT’s 2026 Car Show Calendar. The website tries to be as thorough and accurate as possible in assembling the calendar but a few shows inevitably get overlooked. There may be one or two more this weekend.

Among the shows planned for this weekend is the March Farm Trunk or Treat Show in Bethlehem, CT on Sunday. Its status appeared iffy after last year’s event, which blindsided spectators with a $5 entry charge after flyers said “Spectators free.” The fee was assessed by March Farm and came as a surprise to the organizers of the car show and to those entering.

RIDE-CT took March Farm to task in a column because of the way spectators got sandbagged. It was viewed by some at the time as rather harsh. Flyers for this year’s show inform that there is a $5 per car fee for the spectators, so there’s no issue. And it’s good to see that the show will go on as it’s one of the best shows in the state because its scenic hilltop setting.

As for this weekend, as best as RIDE-CT can determine, there’s one show on Friday evening, 13 shows on Saturday and 11 shows on Sunday.

The number of scheduled shows plummets after that. However, considering the extended forecast for the Oct. 31-Nov. 1 weekend, it won’t be a surprise if there are some last minute additions to the calendar.
