RIDE-CT – Classic Cars Celebrating Classic Cars in Connecticut
THOMASTON, CT – It took some patience and faith that the overnight rain would eventually pass through, but Thomaston’s 35th annual Summer Cruise in downtown was eventually able to be held as planned Sunday afternoon.
The show area may have been dramatically downsized and the scheduled 1 p.m. start may have been pushed back to shortly after 3 p.m., yet 80+ classic car and truck owners nonetheless still turned out for the show, which was able to keep its uninterrupted string of shows intact.
Many areas on the streets that are normally filled with show entries ended up vacant, giving the empty north end of downtown an eerie appearance.

For those who showed, though, it was worth the wait as everyone got a prime parking spot.
RIDE-CT has assembled a gallery from the show that would not be denied, although it appeared touch and go during the morning hours when the rain continued. Kudos to the owners who showed up…
