WEST HAVEN, CT – It’s generally accepted that the first year of staging a car show is always the hardest, but the second annual Summertime Classic Car Show put on Saturday by the Surfside Veterans at West Haven City Hall suffered a sophomore slump not of its own doing.
A local car club reportedly suffered the death of a member and the funeral was held opposite the show, which siphoned off many potential entries and left the parking lot half filled. Nonetheless, there were still some interesting entries – flashy, imaginative and well used.
RIDE-CT hung out for much of the show, had a great time meeting owners, and has assembled a photo gallery of some of the entries…
