Thunderstorms Force Postponement Of Friday Night Shows

A line of thunderstorms that moved into Connecticut late Friday afternoon and into evening forced the postponement of two car shows scheduled to kick off a slate of at least 13 shows across the state this weekend.

Getting postponed were the Torrington P.A.L. Car Show in Torrington and the Knights of Columbus Freestone Council #7 car show in Portland. Both have been rescheduled for next Friday (June 28).

At least 16 other shows are planned for Saturday and Sunday, including the Cars 4 Paws Car Show at the Southington Drive-In in Plantsville that was originally scheduled for June 9, but was postponed. It’s now set for Saturday, but the weekend forecast is looking unsettled with more t’storms possible.

RIDE-CT lists this weekend’s shows on the 2024 CT Car Show Calendar page and will update on the status of shows as information becomes available.
