RIDE-CT – Classic Cars Celebrating Classic Cars in Connecticut
GREENWICH, CT – It wasn’t what was displayed, rather what was missing, that stood out at the Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund Car Show on Saturday. While there was a pop-up tent that mentioned the P.D. what wasn’t on the scene were any police cruisers or uniformed officers for kids and adults to interact with. At least when RIDE-CT was there. It just seemed odd and a missed opportunity.
The show, held in a parking lot next to Greenwich Town Hall, featured a lot of Chevrolet Corvettes of various ages, Ford Mustangs and hot rods. Most of the entries were nicely cared for. What the show lacked in turnout, it more than made up for in bright colors among the entries that did show up.
