2024 Back in Time Car Show

Threat of Storms Impacts Saturday’s Car Shows

The threats of thunderstorms across Connecticut on Saturday afternoon (July 18) has disrupted plans for scheduled cars shows.

The Back in Time Car Show planned by the Coventry Historical Society for noon at the Porter-Strong Museum in Coventry, CT has been canceled and will try again in 2027, according to the society’s president, Jim Murphy.

Still on for the weekend, but postponed from Saturday until Sunday, is the Connecticut Volkswagen Association’s 13th annual Frog Rock Gathering from noon to to 3 p.m. in Eastford, CT.

Also postponed, but without a new date, is the Cars & Chill event that was scheduled for Saturday evening at Lido’s Restaurant in Meriden, CT.
